Dorian Morgan, Environmental iNSiGHT Strategist

Dorian Morgan is the Director of Research and Social Marketing at UPPERCASE, Inc., a design studio in Tampa that “capitalizes creativity” to help clients’ messages make an impact on their community. Dorian specializes in generating research plans to help clients understand the interests and needs of the populations they are trying to reach. She then skillfully applies the data to create behavior change and marketing programs with measurable results.
Between 2005 and 2009, Dorian was a Senior Communications Coordinator for the Southwest Florida Water Management District. During her tenure there, she led more than 20 major research projects to uncover residents’ perceptions and attitudes associated with a variety of water conservation and watershed protection behaviors. From proper fertilizer use, to installing low-flow showerheads, to recycling; Dorian’s expertise concentrates on environmental programs.
Dorian holds a degree in public relations from the University of South Florida and has completed graduate-level coursework in focus group moderation, formative research and evaluation practices. Proficient in qualitative and quantitative methods, Dorian is a seasoned focus group moderator and survey designer. She has extensive experience with pretesting marketing concepts in interview settings, designing guerilla marketing campaign components, evaluating programs, creating and conducting website usability studies and conducting non-random (quasi-experimental) pilot projects.
Dorian has given multiple presentations and training sessions on research methods, evaluation, social diffusion and program design and is particularly adept at convincing decision-makers of the importance of research-based program design.
